A fruitful meeting was held with Mr. Kei Takagi, Member of the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament and Director of the Foreign Affairs Department of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP).

On 15 January 2026, the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Japan, Farid Talibov, held a meeting with Mr. Key Takaqi, Member of the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament and Director of the Foreign Relations Department of the Liberal Democratic Party. During the meeting, the current state and future prospects of Azerbaijan–Japan interparliamentary relations, inter-party cooperation, as well as the ensuring of peace in the region and Azerbaijan’s growing geopolitical role were discussed. The Ambassador also briefed the Japanese side on the reconstruction efforts in the liberated territories and the mine contamination problem. The parties exchanged views on opportunities to further expand bilateral cooperation.
